econd section of the conference was
coordinated by Dr. Terry Russell. The main goal of the section was to present to
audience the strong connection which exist between ISO 9000 registration and the Internet,
under the umbrella of Centre for ISO 9000 Business Club. The 45 minute section started
with a training game on communication between two parties, which are far away
from each other. Thus, using three geometrical shapes, half of the audience was
asked to draw these shapes inside of each other, then to tell the other half what
they draw. The feedback provided by the second half was poor, because within couple
of minutes of verbal communication, they couldn't have the means for a valuable transfer
of information. When the first half was asked to give the other half the drawings, a
very good communication was established. Based on this simple exercise, was introduced
the fundamental principle which guide the Centre for ISO 9000 Business Club: a place where
ISO 9000 registered companies can post their profile, products, services and other
business interests (either as an offer or a request). Was underlined the need of clear
and brief explanations for these postings. Entire audience positively appreciated the
mission of Centre for ISO 9000 Business Club.
The third part of the conference was very animated, since
every participant had the opportunity to address questions to Dr. Terry Russell, Mr.
Mike Pryce and Mr. Ciprian Raileanu. Most questions were related to integration of
Romania into European Union, in terms of consequences of it for small and mid size
companies. A very debated discussion point was related to mutual recognition between Romanian
accreditation institution and European Union certification bodies.
Another positive aspect related to conference was
the business to business promotion, meaning that several co-operations were initiated during
the coffee breaks.
